The global village is not created by the motor car or even by the airplane. It’s created by instant electronic information movement. The electronic environment makes an information level outside the school that is far higher than the information level inside the school. In the 19th century the knowledge inside the school was higher than the knowledge outside. Today it’s reversed. A child knows that in going to school, he is in a sense, interrupting his education. He goes into an environment where the information levels are much lower, the lowest in the world, (than) outside the classroom.
